A trademark is any sign that individualizes the goods of a given enterprise and distinguishes them from the goods of its competitors (WIPO). Here two interlinked functions are described; one is of individualizing a product that means indicating its source or origin, and the second one is the distinguishing function that differentiates one product from the product of other enterprises.
